It may not completely look like it yet, but this hull was launched at the DAR Aluminium Shipyard in Dartow. It is the start of a luxurious million-dollar 77ft (24 meters) aluminum motorjacht yacht from the well-known Dutch boat builder Wajer. And it is perhaps also symbolizes the beginning of a growing industry in Darlow.
Perhaps it has to do with the fact that the Dutch King Willem Alexander ordered a Wajer some time ago. It’s as if Wajer’s aluminum boats are selling like hot cakes. The company cannot meet the demand. The Wajer 77 (picture) is one of the latest designs of the Wajer brand. And it is the first of a series of hulls that shipbuilder DAR Aluminum from Dartow was commissioned by the Dutch shipyard.
It’s experience that counts
It is not surprising that the Wajer company sought refuge in Poland with DAR Aluminum. DAR is a subsidiary of the Truszczynscy Group, a company of the Truszczynscy family from Koszalin. Founder Adam Truszczynscy and his teams worked in the Netherlands for many years at world-famous shipyards such as Royal Huisman, Feadship, Heesen Shipyards and Vitters. The experience they gained with complex aluminum shapes and the high demands placed on the quality of the megayachts, sometimes costing tens of millions, is priceless.
